Klavier Gavin |
She travels the globe, putting the sights she sees into song. Even though her appearance and voice are exotic... ...her songs remind us of something close, and warm. [...] She was gracious enough to put music to my lyrics tonight. "The Guitar's Serenade". ...I hope you enjoy it. |
"The Guitar's Serenade" was a 2026 hit collaborative song between Lamiroir and the Gavinners, with Lamiroir on vocals, Klavier Gavin on guitar, and Machi Tobaye on piano. The song was performed once during a Gavinners concert; however, Lamiroir's bodyguard was killed during the performance.
Creation[]
During a trip to Borginia, Klavier Gavin, lead musician of the Gavinners, watched a performance by Lamiroir. Inspired by her performance, he described her voice as "divine". The two collaborated and wrote the "The Guitar's Serenade" together, with Lamiroir gifting Gavin a guitar, which he deeply cherished. Gavin invited Lamiroir to join him in a Gavinners concert in the United States, which she accepted, accompanied by her pianist, Machi Tobaye.
Performance[]

As part of the Gavinners' performance at the Sunshine Coliseum, "The Guitar's Serenade" was to be performed after the first intermission, with Lamiroir on vocals, Gavin on guitar, and Tobaye on piano. Magician Valant Gramarye was hired to arrange an illusion during the performance; while Gavin and Lamiroir were performing the song, Gavin took her cloak and pulled it downwards, causing her to seemingly disappear. Her cloak then floated across the stage to a platform on the other side of the hall, where Lamiroir reappeared as the cloak gracefully floated onto her again. While the illusion and performance went well, Gavin's guitar did mysteriously catch fire, ruining it; due to the fire happening during the lyrics, "Burn my love away. All away.", it was believed to be part of the show.
In reality, the "Lamiroir" on the stage was Valant Gramarye. The real Lamiroir sang into a headset to give the illusion that she was singing on the stage, while she crawled through the building's ventilation system to get to the platform. During her time in the ventilation shaft, she heard a gunshot, causing her to pause and make a minor mistake in the lyrics. After the concert, Lamiroir's bodyguard, Romein LeTouse, was found dead in her dressing room, with Tobaye being arrested as the prime suspect.
Tobaye's trial[]
In court, Tobaye was represented by rookie defense attorney Apollo Justice. Justice was able to deduce that the reason that Gavin's guitar had caught fire during the performance was that an illegal Borginian cocoon had been smuggled inside it by Tobaye and Daryan Crescend, of the Gavinners, and was destroyed as a precaution via a remote controlled igniter after LeTouse (who was an undercover Interpol agent) confronted Crescend and was subsequently murdered. It was initially believed during the investigation that the killer had followed the song's lyrics in committing the murder, but Justice exposed this as a ruse to obfuscate the order of events. Crescend was arrested for LeTouse's murder, while Tobaye was charged in the United States with smuggling; this was preferable to being charged in Borginia for the same crime, as that carried the death penalty.
Legacy[]
After Crescend's arrest, Gavin swore never to play the song again. Nevertheless, the song became a huge hit, and it was played at Themis Legal Academy's 67th school festival, sung by Juniper Woods and accompanied by Gavin on acoustic guitar.

Development[]
- The melody and lyrics of the song were created by Shu Takumi. The melody came about while he was playing his guitar at home. He then figured out what he wanted to use the song for, and the lyrics were written with this purpose in mind.[1]
- The soundtrack version of the song removes the deviant parts from the in-game performance, including the “oohs” meant to emulate Lamiroir’s voice stopping to represent the interruption of the line “Pleasure, Pleasure…”, Machi Tobaye’s piano accompaniment changing, and Klavier Gavin’s guitar performance abruptly stopping.
Other versions[]
- "Lamiroir - Landscape Painter in Sound", a variation of this song, is used as Lamiroir's character theme. A remixed version of the song is also used as Apollo Justice's ringtone.
- The song is performed by Haruka Shimotsuki (霜月はるか Shimotsuki Haruka) on the Gyakuten Saiban Tokubetsu Hōtei 2008 album. This was a live performance during the original concert.
