I LVOE EMA SKYE!!!

She's one of my favourite characters :D On her page though, it only has Phoenix listed under friends. Apollo and Trucy are arguably her friends too. --94.0.195.32 12:34, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

Timeline Edit

Soooo... what timeline does the wikia use? 178.40.148.179 10:56, September 3, 2011 (UTC)

The timeline page has information on this. One of the issues with Court Records's timelines is that they're more specific with their birth years (this wiki uses two-year date ranges where appropriate), which runs into problems when the developers continue to make timeline oversights in new games. The way in which CR treats AJ births is actually different from the way in which it treats AAI births, due to these problems. The approach of using two-year date ranges, while treating special cases like Ema Skye and Phoenix Wright separately, is a bit less presumptuous and more likely to be consistent with whatever complications future court record / organizer profiles bring. capefeather 15:25, September 3, 2011 (UTC)
Oh I see. I've read about the discrepancies on the policy page. Though maybe it would be easier just to use all the dates from this website? It is in Japanese and it includes dates of every Gyakuten event (some exact, some calculated between which years it could happen). It also stems from the DL-6 incident, but the birthdays themselves come from the Gyakuten Saiban / 2 / 3 / 4 Revelations Manual (or "Investigate into the TRUTH") and Gyakuten Kenji books, the ones that weren't translated. They list each characters exact birthdate. It's not hard to use even if you can't speak Japanese, just copy paste the Japanese name from here and add 誕生 (birth) right behind the name, without spaces (although the names themselves do contain spaces between frist name and surname). So we might just use these days since they're semi-official and then point out the mistakes where need be (Wright/Skye/Edgewroth/Payne). I think it's also from where Court Records has its dates. 178.40.148.179 15:57, September 3, 2011 (UTC)

Age n' eyesEdit

Ema's eye color seems to be confusing people. And for obvious reasons:

  • Rise from the Ashes
    • Sprites - blue
    • Mugshot - brown
    • Art - green
  • Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney
    • Sprites - green
    • Mugshot - brown
    • Art - green
  • Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth & Gyakuten Kenji 2
    • Sprites - blue
    • Mugshot - blue
    • Art - green

The only consistency I can see is that she has green eyes in all her official art, blue eyes in both her teenage sprites, and green eyes as an adult. Therefore, I think the best option is probably to put her eyes down as green with other colors in mouse-over text.

As for age, I'm going to have to go with 16 as although we have this quote:

Ema Skye
I'll be sixteen years old this year!

there is also the age in the court record and this quote:

Ema Skye
Sixteen... That's the same age I am.

Maybe we should instead go with some kind of blue/green color? Official art and HD sprites should work best as reference. I think we could call it teal...

Still, though, I'd rather say that Ema's eyes on mugshots don't really count - it's barely anything but saving space for more data.

Sligneris (talk) 18:32, March 20, 2014 (UTC)

I think we should call it green-winged teal personally. But seriously, I think "bluish-green" would probably be best, as that's closer to what the eye colour (just noticed I used the American spelling in my previous post; that's what editing this wiki has done to me...) in the official art is. Just to clarity though, are you saying we should just have "Bluish-green" as her eye colour with no mouse-over text at all? - Strabo412 (talk) 18:48, March 20, 2014 (UTC)

If it matters, I recall looking at the RBG levels of the eyes and seeing roughly equal amounts of each. capefeather (talk) 12:52, March 21, 2014 (UTC)

You scientifically analysed the colour of her eyes? Ema would be proud. :) - Strabo412 (talk) 02:29, March 22, 2014 (UTC)
We should probably mention the eyes on her wiki page. I too zoomed in on the sprites and i think it's safe to say Ema's eyes are the most inconsistant thing on this wiki. Ace Attorney wise anyway. adn this is what I got sprite wise
AAI: Midnight Blue
AA: Dark Blue
AJ: Hazel

Objection

The most inconsistent thing on the wiki and in the series are Phoenix's and Maya's eyes. Check for yourself. In Phoenix's case it's sometimes blue, sometimes gray, sometimes brown, in May's case it's sometimes brown, sometimes green.

Ema's eye color is pretty consistent, I think. This color is called teal, like I edited. It's like this both on her RftA HD sprites and on official art of her AJ self. - Sligneris (talk) 20:15, June 22, 2014 (UTC)

A) Did you really have to link Teal. We know what teal looks like we're not dumb. B) You can't deny the inconsistancy between the mugshots, the sprites, and the OAs. C) The HD sprites just add more inconsistancy. D) Eye colors are confusing on this wiki.Franzyfan1998 (talk) 20:25, June 22, 2014 (UTC)
Actually, I'm certain that inconsistency is caused by nothing but limited resolution and colors on palette of DS sprites. That's why I use OA and HD sprites as reference. - Sligneris (talk) 20:43, June 22, 2014 (UTC)
I am sorry but that wasn't a strong arguement. Clearly as time went on things tings could have been fixed. Also what is wrong with the original sprites. They were our reference for quite some time. Also Adult Ema doesn't have HD sprites! And it's almost impossible to check middle Ema though someone claimed it was green. Explain Slig.Franzyfan1998 (talk) 21:19, June 22, 2014 (UTC)
...Really? Are you serious now? Just look into the eyes of the profile image on the main article and you have your Ema reference in Apollo Justice era. - Sligneris (talk) 21:34, June 22, 2014 (UTC)
Ok one is blue one is hazel! Wow that was fast! I'm not getting into another petty arguement with you. I will say this once. There is an inconsistancy. It should be noted. Maybe not under the profile but under development. Ok?
I've edited the page to make the section about her eye color longer and more obvious. - Strabo412 (talk) 16:56, June 23, 2014 (UTC)
Can't we really just keep it "teal"? I mean, that's definitely what this color is, even if the person's color isn't usually referred to as such, while blue-green sound like someone just can't make up their mind. I mean, these are anime graphics, so "teal" is really not the most unexpected color. - Sligneris (talk) 17:00, June 23, 2014 (UTC)
Fine. Go ahead. - Strabo412 (talk) 17:02, June 23, 2014 (UTC)
...It sounds forced. ...Is it forced? I mean, is teal as eye color actually okay, at least? ^^; - Sligneris (talk) 17:09, June 23, 2014 (UTC)
No. Teal is fine. I'll even change it myself to show I don't mind. - Strabo412 (talk) 17:21, June 23, 2014 (UTC)

Dual Destinies Edit

I liked Dual Destinies, but I felt that one major thing was missing:

EMA AND PHOENIX DIDN'T REUNITE!!!!!!!!!
Gant Breakdown 1
Edit

Responding to Inner Monologue Edit

Whilst playing Rise a From The Ashes in the original Ace Attorney, I noticed that Ema will often respond verbally to Phoenix's inner monologues. As though she knows precisely what he was thinking. There is no mention of that here? I never noticed any other character do this so frequently and so accurately.

Don't the other assistants do that as well, especially Maya? I'd assumed that they were either reading his expression or he occasionally mutters them to himself. -Strabo412 (talk) 21:36, November 23, 2016 (UTC)
