On Briar Road, Roly Beate was enjoying his return as a police officer with his wife, Patricia, thanks to Barok van Zieks. The couple began to flirt with each other, they didn't think van Zieks is a reaper at all, more like a patron saint of bobbies. Roly even found a shilling on the road which he planned to use to buy his wife a bouquet, Patricia thinks he'll get rich someday. Unfortunately, the shilling seems to have vanished, Roly thinks Gina Lestrade stole it. Lestrade outright denies stealing it, the coin she's holding is hers and there's no proof that it was in Roly's pocket. But the policeman mentioned its weight, making Lestrade worried. She demanded Ryunosuke Naruhodo and Herlock Sholmes to help her. Iris Wilson and the rest of them were watching the argument for ten minutes, it was tea time but Wilson wanted to go for a walk. The Beates assured that the coin is theirs, Wilson had a way to find the real owner since it was found on the street. Yesterday, she actually lost something on Briar Road when she was going to buy herbs, the allowance Sholmes gave her. Lestrade said that since she lost it, it's no longer hers making Wilson sad. Sholmes revealed that coin had a history with Naruhodo, it was a coin from their poker match, Naruhodo lost miserably. All of his money was gone and he gritted his teeth a whole lot.

To Sholmes nervousness, Wilson then mentioned a special ink she made. It's invisible ink that can only be seen with special glasses. Sholmes used to write on the cards, he was cheating. Naruhodo demanded his money back due to the game not counting. Sholmes agrees but Gina Lestrade and Roly Beate still say it's their own. Lestrade demanded proof so the Beates say that the coin is covered in Roly's blood, sweat and tears. That's when Wilson pulled out her spray gun that changes the color of blood. After seeing the blood color, Wilson concluded that the blood belongs to Naruhodo. It's the one from the poker game, he got blood on it from his gums when gritting his teeth. Lestrade finally returns the coin much to Naruhodo's relief. Wilson wants it now due to him saying he'll pay her back, reluctantly he gives it to her. This is because Naruhodo asked her to buy herb at the Lime Street market due to wanting to make Susato Mikotoba's green tea taste better. Wilson had mixed the gyokuro tea with the herbs, and decided to call it "Susie's Special Blend". Naruhodo didn't enjoy it, but Sholmes seemed interested.

Sholmes noted that the coin went on quite an adventure, having started out as the coin Naruhodo was supposed to give to Wilson to pay for the herbs, and ultimately ending up back in Wilson's pocket for the same purpose even after changing hands so many times. Naruhodo concluded that the shilling belonged to Wilson no matter what. Sholmes suggested a poker rematch with a side of herbal tea, but Naruhodo decides to pass as he doesn't want to lose next month's allowance.
