Purple fragments were a piece of evidence in Athena Cykes's investigation into the murder of Constance Courte. The fragments make up a statue of prosecutor Klavier Gavin.
Destroyed in a murder[]
Prosecutor course student and fine arts club member Robin Newman was assigned with the task of making statues of the special guests, newly reinstated defense attorney Phoenix Wright and alumni prosecutor Klavier Gavin, for the school festival. She was able to finish Gavin's statue but was only able to finish Wright's staue half-way by the time she had to go home. After killing Courte, defense attorney course teacher Aristotle Means convinced her he will finish it for her. She decided to lie to her parents that she made both statues by herself, thinking they will finally allow her to become an artist like she wanted to be instead of forcing her to become a prosecutor like they wanted her to be.
The statue broke during Means' tampering the crime scene in his attempt to frame Newman's friend and judge student Juniper Woods. While investigating the stage, Gavin, Cykes, and Apollo Justice found the fragments of the statue and put them back together. During the second half of the trial, Newman confessed Means offered to finish the statue, which further placed suspicion on him as he was at the academy after hours.
