Ace Attorney Wiki

Is this significant enough for its own article? It's only maybe a single sentence that's relevant for Ace Attorney. Maybe it could go along with the article I proposed in Category talk:Attractions and receive a bulletpoint there without being a needless unique article? It would also likely improve navigability of the wiki. Lynnux (talk)

The above was in reference to an article "NAVITIME", whose content has been moved to the article "Ace Attorney".

Articles about rereleases[]

User:Gabo 200 brought this up to my user talk page, and I thought I'd copy it here as part of a broader discussion of how to deal with rereleases of games:

I was actually meaning to discuss with you the possibility to rework collection articles (Trilogy HD, Trilogy, TGAAC) to be more in tone with how game articles are structured, which would've seen use for some of these pictures as well. At the same time, I wanted to ask your opinion on considering merging re-releases for individual games (such as Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney HD) into each game's main article, since there's very little info that couldn't be provided in one single section. This would streamline the game articles too, because the Phoenix Wright DS games are technically a re-release of the GBA ones as well, then there's the iOS releases for Dual Destinies and Spirit of Justice, which are indeed listed in each game's article instead of having a separate page.
Since almost all of the games are currently on multiple platforms, I believe reworking the articles like this would make the wiki easier to navigate. I assume most readers looking for info on a specific game go to the main article for it, regardless of the re-release they're most familiar with. I hadn't inform you of this yet because I can't fully commit to doing any of this before July, but since that was part of the reason I uploaded those deleted images in the first place, I'd rather tell you now to hear your thoughts on the matter. Regards!

I guess a lot of this has to do with how the publishers use various names for different entities. The publishers sometimes use the same name to refer to different products (for example, the Steam releases of the trilogy OSTs are named "Gyakuten Saiban Sound BOX"), and sometimes use different names (for example, "Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney HD"). It's pretty arbitrary on their part, and I guess we're playing along with it by having separate HD articles? I get that it can be confusing. Capefeather (talk) 21:04, 18 June 2021 (UTC)
