Ace Attorney Wiki:Spoiler
From Ace Attorney Wiki
This wiki roughly follows the guidelines set by Wikipedia's spoiler page. Where Wikipedia has a disclaimer at the bottom of every page, this wiki has a sitenotice that appears at the top of every page and serves as a general spoiler warning for the entire wiki. This wiki aims to have articles written in complete detail; we try to be sensitive to spoilers in terms of the order in which information is presented, but overall completeness and style simply cannot be compromised for the sake of players who have not played the entire series of games.
In general, spoilers tend to reside near the end of each section.
Below are some specifics on how spoilers affect the various different types of articles on this wiki.
Contents |
[edit] Episodes
Episode articles are naturally filled with spoilers, but the events described are recalled from the perspective of the protagonist; thus, they are recalled in the order in which the protagonist retrieves the information. This means that someone could read part of the plot of an episode that he or she is playing if he or she has trouble understanding something about the episode.
It should be assumed that the episode article will proceed with a detailed plot description immediately after the lead section.
[edit] Characters
The lead section may or may not contain spoilers depending on whether a spoiler is required to improve the lead section. One should note that the lead section is a concise summary of the article, and that this may include spoiler information.
The character articles are written almost entirely in an in-universe style; that is, they are written like biographies. Therefore, information will be presented in chronological order, and spoilers are fair game everywhere in the biography.
[edit] Gameplay
Since all articles must ideally give full information about their subjects, gameplay articles may have spoilers. Magatama is a good example of this.
[edit] Others
Other mainspace articles such as articles about games or music are probably written in an out-of-universe style and are not likely to contain spoilers. Nonetheless, the reader is still advised to exercise caution; for example, Pursuit contains what many people may consider a spoiler.
[edit] Recent games
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations and Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney were released less than a year ago in Europe. Thus, articles concerning these games are of utmost concern in terms of spoilers; this wiki may soon have a tag that warns the reader about these recently released games.
